We pray for the nations

Since we are missionaries I decided to teach my children early in life to pray for the nations. Believe me I am learning a lot about the people we are praying for each week.

Lena's Bottletree combined with Appels and Tree Lapbook/Notebook

Our lapnote books, as I have come to call our books are a combination between lapbooking an notebooking. All our books are bilingual, because some of the things I found for free on the internet and you can't change the language. The ones I made myself are in Afrikaans.

I combined the two curriculum's again. Using the stories of Little Footprints and the tasks of My Father's World (being appels and leaves) but I changed the leaves to trees to make it Afrikaans.

The gift of the sun

Our second lapbook was about the book "The gift of the sun" by Dianne Stewart and Jude Daly. The kids really enjoyed the book. I again combined the curriculum of Little Footprints with Our Father's Word. We also are busy making raisins, and we planted lavender and basil.

I can't wait for our next project, but you have to wait another 2 weeks, this week we are making Valentine gifts to sell at our market.

Our first try at lapbooking

We tried our first lapbooking. I am combining two curriculums. The one is "Our Father's World" and the other one is "Little Footprints" They seem to go nice together and now I have thrown in Lapbooking as well. This is great for me and for the kids. The first book was done by my son Zane, now 6 and the second one by my daughter Nêo-Rie who just turned 4.
